Manager, Business Control - Private Wealth Management Business Management
Responsibilities:
Develop quantitative risk control framework for risk identification, measurement, management and reporting
Act as first line of defense, monitor daily activities of PWM frontline staff (RM, ARM, IC) are compliant to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Product lineup includes bond/mutual fund/private equity fund/hedge fund/equities/structured products/FX products
Communicate with the frontline staff regularly on significant risk items/irregularities found in investment transactions, areas of improvement in securities dealing, and provide guidance on investment suitability check before executing investment transactions for customers
Provide regular training to frontline staff on dealing in securities
Regularly review and update internal policies and procedures, to be in line with latest regulations, technology and industry best practices
Work closely with the second line of defense and different stakeholders on policy and procedure implementation
Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by Team Head
Ideal candidates should possess:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic qualification
At least 5 years’ relevant risk control and investment suitability monitoring experience in private banking / private wealth management
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements on investment suitability framework
Organized, multi-tasking, detail-oriented
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptive, willing to take up challenges
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
