Senior Associate, General Compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Review and update policies and proceduress
  • Coordinate with relevant units and prepare regular compliance reports
  • Disseminate compliance-related circulars to relevant parties; track and follow up on the regulatory updates
  • Provide advisory support to business units on compliance-related queries, such as licensing, FATCA and CRS and Code of Banking Practice
  • Handle licensing and CPT matters
  • Liaise with regulators (such as HKMA and SFC) and relevant units to facilitate the completion of questionnaires, surveys, reporting requirement and regulatory examinations etc.
  • Act as the secretary of Compliance Committee Meeting
  • Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

Ideal candidates are expected to possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Finance & Accounting, Corporate Governance or related disciplines
  • At least 4 years’ relevant work experience in Corporate Banking, Private Banking or Private Wealth Management
  • Knowledge of Banking Ordinance, SFO and HKMA/SFC rules
  • Experience in private banking practices will be an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn and take up new challenges
  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical ability to identify potential issues
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
