Team Head, Commercial Banking

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and originate new business opportunities to expand in the mid-sized enterprises/corporate clients
  • Execute the Bank’s overall strategic plans, expand the growth of business, develop syndicated loan, bilateral loan, quality trade finance business relationships and other financial products in accordance with the Bank’s strategy and vision
  • Lead a small team of Relationship Managers to develop and build corporate/commercial clients and to achieve business goals
  • Oversee, develop and maintain strong customer relationship with clients by understanding their financial needs, providing professional financial solutions and products in areas of corporate lending and trade financing
  • Oversee credit analysis and credit proposals
  • Supervise and ensure internal control, risk management, internal policies and procedures as well as compliance with regulatory requirements are met

Ideal candidates are expected to possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking / Finance or related discipline
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experiences in Commercial Banking frontline role in which 5 years in managerial capacity
  • Proven track record in managing and developing corporate/commercial client portfolio, achieving business targets and revenue growth
  • Good understanding of various banking products and credit facilities; risk management, compliance and regulatory framework
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in building client relationships
  • Outgoing, proactive, strong motivation in establishing new client base
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
