因應香港交易及結算所有限公司由2024年9月23日(「生效日」) 起在維持證券及衍生產品市場實施惡劣天氣交易, 現公佈有關國泰世華銀行香港分行(「本行」)在惡劣天氣交易日提供之銀行服務。
「惡劣天氣」是指以下任何一項或更多之情況:
(1) 由香港天文台發出之8 號或以上之風球;
(2) 由香港天文台發出之黑色暴雨警告; 及
(3) 由香港特別行政區政府公佈之極端情況或警告。

如惡劣天氣發生於星期一至星期五(香港公眾假期除外) ，當天便被視為惡劣天氣交易日。
由生效日開始，本行在惡劣天氣情況下不會對外開放，但仍會維持以下證券服務:
(1) 證券交易;
(2) 證券清算; 及
(3) 企業行動。

請注意，有關證券交易之成交單據、戶口結單及通知等文件的派遞可能延遲，直至郵政/快遞服務在非惡劣天氣時恢復正常。若有任何疑問，煩請聯絡閣下的客戶經理查詢。
謹此提醒閣下，電子支票服務將會如常進行交收及清算，不受惡劣天氣情況影響。
然而，實體支票存入將會在惡劣天氣情況下暫停；但前一營業日收取之實體支票，仍會如常進行支票交收及清算，請確保往來帳戶在簽發支票前有充足資金或預先作好適當安排。客戶也可(如需要)透過本行之網銀服務進行電子交易(包括轉帳、匯款及定期存款)。
在惡劣天氣情況下，上述服務或會因為電訊服務之提供及/或其他不可預期之因素而作出改變。

In view of the implementation of severe weather trading in securities and derivatives markets by the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd (“HKEX”) on 23 September 2024 (the “Effective Date”), this serves as a notice about the provision of banking services by Cathay United Bank Company, Limited, Hong Kong Branch (“CUBHK”) during SWT Days.
Severe weather (“SW”) means any one or more of the following situations:
(1) Typhoon signal number 8 or above as issued by The Hong Kong Observatory;
(2) A Black Rainstorm Warning Signal as issued by The Hong Kong Observatory; and
(3) Extreme Conditions or warning as announced by the HKSAR Government.
Should SW fall on any day from Monday to Friday except a Hong Kong public holiday, it would be considered a SWT Day.
Starting from the Effective Date, CUBHK’s office will not be open under SW conditions. However, the following securities services shall be maintained:
(1) Securities Trading;
(2) Securities Clearing; and
(3) Corporate Actions.
Please note that delivery of documents, such as contract notes, statements, notices, etc., for securities transactions could be delayed until postal/courier services resume normal on a non-SWT Day. Should you have any query, please kindly contact your Relationship Manager.
We would also like to advise you that E- cheques Service for collection and settlement shall not be disrupted by SW conditions.
Whereas, deposit of physical cheques will not be available during SW conditions, but clearing and settlement of physical cheques which have been deposited on the previous business day will be processed as usual. In this regard, customers are reminded to ensure that there are sufficient funds in their current account before issuing cheques or make proper prior arrangement for the relevant transactions. Or, customers may instead conduct electronic transactions (including transfer, remittance and time deposit) through our e-banking system if necessary.
